Because Israel is one of the US closest allies and UN it self refused to acknowledge the sovereignty and recognition of Palestine in a territory known as Israel today.

Kofi Annan considered it illegal -- that doesn't mean it actually is against any applicable law. Anyone can call something illegal -- that doesn't automatically make it so.
Isreal is occupying two sets of land -- the land that was purchased for it from the British by the UN -- and the land that it seized during wars from the opponents who started the wars.
Throughout history -- the winner of a war has been entitled to keep the land won during that war -- especially if the other side started it. So, if Isreal is just doing what countries have done for thousands of years -- how is that illegal?
And it's certainly not against Israel's own laws -- or any treaties that is has chosen to ratify and enact. So, exactly what laws do you claim Israel is violating by its occupation?
That says nothing about whether they should or should not be there as a political or philosophical or ethical question -- but you used the word "illegal", so what laws do you think were broken?

Because they ( Israel ) have the bigger gun. The United States to back them no matter what. Israel is a Sovereign State and has been so for many, many years. Nothing is going to change that. Period.
What proof did Kofi Annan provide to support his claim of " illegal occupation " of Palestine ? Oh he didn't mention that eh? Is this the same Kofi Annan that stood around when thousands were being killed and tortured in Darfur ? Or where was he when Saddam Hussein was killing thousands of Kurds by gassing ? Where was Mr. Annan then ? Where was the outcry from him to take actions against the above mentioned horrific acts.
Please. Give me a break.

Because our govement support them.
Those idiots say that israel has the rights o own the land ecause they won a "DEFENSIVE WAR" IS TOTALLY CRAP.WHO THE HELL OCCUPIES OTHER LANDS IN A "DEFENSIVE WAR"?AND WHO WERE THE CAUSE OF THE "DEFENSIVE WAR" AINT THAT SUPPOSE TO BE ISRAEL WHO OCCUPIED PALESTINE ILLEGALLY?
PLUS ISRAEL WANTS TO ATK MORE NATIONS IT IS THEIR NATURE OF CONQUERING SO IN MANY INSTANCE THEY STARTED MANY CONFLICTS SUCH AS LEBANON AND ALL THE BAD THINGS THEY DO TO PALESTANIANS WHICH THEY MADE REFUGEE? U CALL THAT DEFENSIVE OR SIMPLY ZIONISM AND WAR CRIMES?
AFter the holocust UN proposed to give a small part of palestine to the jew so they would have a home. But the arab league REJECTED(which they have a right to as the land belongs to palestine), but the palestanians welcomed the jew with open arms to live with them but that wasnt enough,
they came in and illegally self-declared their independence.
This led to many conflicts and wars and through time they stole and counquered more and more palestanian lands and now they seem to posses over 90% of their land and also parts of lebanons and syria's territory. If they were a "peace loving" nation why is that apparant that even the land UN planned for them wasnt "BIG ENOUGH" the are greedy as hell and israel never officially exist and it is a illegal state.
But too bad we would need a president that would not supply them with $$ and weapons or dont support them in anyway.

Palestine is a region and nothing more. It's like saying the mid west. It has no government cause Arafat walked out of the talks that would have given the palestinians a large chunk of land. Arafat wanted it all for a people that never existed until 1948. Arafat was an Egyptian. 5 different countries started ILLEGAL wars on Israel and every single one of them got their butt kicked and handed back to them. When you lose, you lose everything just like in a poker game. They lost, Israel won so Israel isn't "illegally occupying" squat.

"Palestine" does not have external recognition nor does it have its own embassies in other independent countries. There is no possible way Palestine could become an independent member of the United Nations at this time. Therefore, Palestine is not even recognized as a country.

So what? This whole region is a wasteland. Any agricultural production there? No. Anything else of value produced there? No. Nothing lost, nothing gained here, since the place is totally worthless.
