This will cause a religious war as PC and Mac people are adamant about the benfits of their own choice. I've always been a PC guy but I've used Macs too.
The advantage of a PC is that there are a hundred reputable vendors and lots of places to buy inexpensive parts and accessories. The Mac is sold by (and only by) Apple. You get a good system but upgrades are pricey and limited to what Apple permits.
I generally tell customers to find an APPLICATION program that solves their problem--regardless of the platform and buy the computer that runs that program.

I would definetly go with a PC. Theres a reason that most people prefer them to macs. Check out microspectpc.com for a great selection of PCs.

I am a graphic design student, I love my mac.... I love pretty much everything about it.... EXCEPT most people operate on PC so it really screws me up. And everything looks different (placement/colors) on my screen than on a pc screen. It can be annoying. Oh, and macs are WAY over priced so I ended up with a 13 inch! haha!

PC by far...Apple does not support their Os's after 3 years.....XP has been supported for 8, win 98 for 6, win 95 for 7. Apple Hardware is substandard the batteries in their Ipods,Notebooks catch fire or fail within 6 months. Now apple is compatible with PC hardware.....Scary....MS Rules....Apple Drools

if your a heavy graphic person, photo, or movie making type stuff go MAC. anything else you could possibly do, go with a PC for sure.

Each system has pros/cons and you can't say one is better than the other without defining criteria in which to judge them. Anyone saying one is better than the other without more details is just giving their biased opinion.

PC!! THE OPERATING SYSTEM IS ALOT BETTER, FASTER, MORE RELIABLE. THERE IS ALOT MORE PROGRAMS FOR WINDOWS THAN FOR MAC. MAC HAS ITS OWN FORMAT IN EVERYTHING, AND COMPONENTS COME VERY PRICEY. PC IS THE WAY TO GO, ULTRA SPEED,QUALITY AND SUPPORT. MAC IS ONLY GOOD FOR RECORDING, VIDEO, IMAGE EDITING, MORE LIKE ADVANCE TENCH LOGY USE.
