I'm ashamed to say I needed the reminder. I hadnt been able to reach one of my daughters, so I just went on the hunt for her.
I finally found her and she was just fine. Now I am too. Thanks for the reminder and God bless you.

Having lost the majority of my family in recent years I am all too aware of this may be the last hug and words of love. Sweet Baby James is so good at telling it like it is...
In fact just before I sat down at the computer I wrapped my arms around my Hero's waist and rubbed his belly and told him how I felt about him.
He thinks I overdo the I love you's to all the kids and grands but that doesn't stop me.
I think he thinks because I say it upteen times a day it does not come out sincere...but they know I mean it!

What an awful tragedy. The sudden death of a family member one in on the top of the list of highly traumatic incidents that can happen to a person. We don't know her but are praying for her, she will need her friends now as the reality sinks in. Obviously his wife will be in worse trauma so will also need all the help and support. Thank God she did tell him she loves him, and that is one regret she won't have. Keep this family in your prayers today, all who read this post.

I am so sorry to hear about your friends loss. You are right, life is very short and yes, I take the time to let them know I love them.
The one thing I want them to remember is how much I love them!

I couldn't agree more. We never know what to expect in life from day-to-day. I always make sure that I often tell the ones that I love that I do love them. I also make it a point to never end any conversation in an argument.

This is lovely question ---so you must be a loving person !
My wife and I always give each other a hug and say "I
love you " at night ---
I used to travel a lot---alone ---went to different countries
and saw many beautiful scenes in Rome --Paris--
Japan---never could I forget --in those moments --
a saying by Emerson : "Beauty ,without the Beloved --
is like a sword through the Heart ! "
Fortunately I am home for good ---thanks for the reminder !

We swore from the git-go never to sleep on a quarrel. Well, as it happens, we're best buds and rarely disagree, but we both make it a point to tell each other at least once a day how much the other means to us and that we love him/her.
Even with him in Pa. and me in Va., we've done it by phone. I don't care if it does sound sappy. We do.
And I'm sorry for your friend's loss, but I'm glad for her that she has no guilt issues to deal with, and that their last words to each other were loving ones.

Your friend and her family are in my prayers. She's blessed to have someone like you to be there for her, during this difficult time. I do tell my loved ones that I love them and they tell me. You are so right, life is indeed short and uncertain.

The one thing I NEVER forget to do is to tell people I love, I love you; I am grateful for you in my life; and I so appreciate you....my children [for sometimes my mom forgot to do this]; my grands; my friends and sometimes total strangers who have touched my life for a mini second. I also tell my kitty I love him - who am I to say he doesn't understand?
I also tell my Creator I love him....
My prayers and condolences to you and yours!

As an old Uncle of mine said at our wedding, never go to bed on an argument, always tell your loved one that you love them last thing at night. It was good advice.
