Depending on what you are going to be doing with the truck , and what you will be pulling. I personally recommend Ford F-350 Diesel dually tons of power to pull what ever you need. A good place to look is www.Ford direct.com

I would have to say either an international or a volvo. I own one of each and both the best two trucks i've ever driven. If you are looking for trucks on the internet go to www.truckpaper.com they have every kind of truck you can imagine and you can see the different models, brands, and features in the trucks. For my top 5 I would say 1. international 2. volvo 3.peterbilt 4.kenworth 5. mack

I would suggest a Volvo or Freightliner Semi Tractor. I agree with the person who suggested not getting alot of bells and whistles.

The thing thats going to make or break you in the beginning is how often your truck is in the repair shop. For this reason I strongly suggest Volvo due to the high rate of dependability.

First you must know what you are transporting. Weight, size, solid or liquid or ?? Then you must know the terrain you are traveling so the gear ratios and speed can be calculated. Hills, high altitudes. weather conditions. Traveling cross country, short hops etc. Lots to consider before putting the $$$ down.
