I am considering going back to school to change my career path and I was just wondering what other people are doing to earn money these days, if they like it, and if they feel that they make enough money for what they do

The key is finding out what you like to do, just because someone gets joy out of digging ditches and makes alot of money doesn't mean you will be happy doing that, If you just want to make money then look in that field.
no one ever makes enough that they don't want more, otherwise Bill Gates would have quit a long time ago. find out what you like to do and go for that career

It really depends on what you enjoy most. The best job for me having the following factors:
1) don't have to wake up early, wake up whenever I like,
2) don't have to travel to office, work from home,
3) don't have to dress up, make up ... etc, in comfortable pyjamas,
4) involve in a domain that I enjoy most (ie: accounting, games)
5) once created, it will continue to bring me income even when I'm sleeping.

I am on SSDI for secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and I get a US Navy pension. Life has never been so easy.
