I think I would rather tune in to good news than constant bad news. Besides the starving children, lack of education, electricity, refugees and dead economy I am sure there must be good news somewhere worth reporting.

What planet have you been on? Fox News is the most blatant mouthpiece for Conservative causes in this country. If there were any newsworthy progress going on in Iraq, Ann Coulter and pals would be chortling all about it. You obviously heard a small news item today about one person's opinion that Al Qaeda is in retreat in Iraq. That's just wishful thinking. Now you wish Fox News would jump on the bandwagon too. There's no military solution to this war, only a political one and it's up to the Iraqi's to figure that one out. There's not a lot of good news being reported because we are moving in the wrong direction on just about all the major problems we face.

Unlike the majority of American media, which is unabashedly liberal in its bias, Fox has been reporting the good news in Iraq:

1.) Suicide missions are down
2.) Combat deaths are falling
3.) More areas of Iraq, like Anbar province, are secure
4.) The British are cutting back on troops because of the successes they have had in Basra and other locales.
5.) More and more police and army units are getting ready to take over.
6.) Iraq has found its' diplomatic voice by confronting Iran about its funneling weapons and men into Iraq.
7.) Iraq no longer pursues the 'nuclear, biological and chemical' option.
8.) More and more Iraqis are giving tips on Islamist cells to US forces and these tips are very credible.
9.) Iraqi democracy has already begun to emerge: the governments chastisement of Blackwater and other seemingly improperly conducted raids could only be done if freedom existed

All of these events have been reported by Fox. Unfortunately, there still remains work to be done and to ignore that fact would not be objective reporting. We are winning, Iraq is getting better, and America is slowly rolling back the virulence of Islamism. That must make the liberals squirm with contempt.

LOL! Even Fox News can only get away with lying to a certain extent. Bush pushed it too far, and now nobody believes him at all.

Fox News and other right-wing media are already losing their audience. People are just getting tired of it. Right-wingers are becoming discouraged and 'swing voters' are disenchanted with the whole neo-con movement. Ironically, this pushes Fox to be more honest and balanced to try to keep up their ratings.

Fox reports on ALL of the "great success" in Iraq.

They really try and build them up as much as they can.

but.. not much good news to report out of Iraq.

When a plane lands safely it is not news. The bad stuff gets the ratings!!!

What do you want to see on the news from Iraq (or your own town), exciting reports from "crime scenes", or a smiling report on "a safe street"?

Because there are no great successes in the war in Iraq, other wise faux news will only be doing what it does best, biased reporting.

I would like to hear some , but if the country won't listen to the generals , what are we to do , it is a free for all, hyper violent with no end in sight , we should be proud of ourselves.

Because you know the news is bad when Fox can't find any good.

They do, at least they try to make this debacle look all rosey.
But the people of Iraq see it very differently, as do the parents and loved ones of those killed serving the country(President)
