because I just wrote a letter to my uncle, and I'm thinking about either doing that or taking it to the cemetery and burring it by him.

I knew they wouldn't send it up there, but yeah, do you think anyone reads them,

ehh burring it sounds like a better idea

I would say they will forward it on to heaven but I being a minister can't lie, letter of this nature will go to the dead letter office so I suggest if you want to take it to the cemetery and leave it with your uncle. It will help with closure for you and who knows maybe he will read it in heaven.

well, if you put your return address on the letter, the post office will send it back to you. If there's no return address it goes to a place called the "dead letter office" where it will be destroyed because, as you know, it is not really possible to deliver a letter to heaven. I like your idea of going to the cemetery, maybe you would feel better if you read the letter out loud there and then burned it.

They put it in the bin for God's mail same as Santa and the Easter Bunny - someone will eventually open it and since it is considered unclaimed it is not a Federal Offense. Burn your letter

The letter will not be delivered. I might suggest that you go to the cemetery, or even kneel at the side of your bed before going to sleep, and just talk to him, he might just hear you.

Don't send it through the post because the sorting office will open it, have a good laugh and pin it up. Keep it close to your heart.

Yeah, I would sudgest burying it by him. It'd go wasted at the postal office. They might think it's a prank, or just put it away.

Sorry for your uncle.

put it with the letters to Santa, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc. I would put the letter by his stone. That is so sweet.

Since heaven is not in the U.S., you need to pay extra for international postage. Seriously, they either return it or throw it away or keep it for awhile and then throw it away. They do not deliver it to heaven.
