There is no doubt. He hasn't had amazing success in his passing game, but he's gotten the job done 3 times: win the super bowl. Along with that, this year he's putting up great numbers and is a definite candidate for MVP. That's why he is going to be. He also will probably win the passer rating record and passing touchdowns in one season, so that adds to it.

To put it simple...it won't happen.
Study the game, and you will see that Tom Brady is not now, nor will he ever be the QB that Peyton Manning is.
Manning has been great year after year.
Brady has 6 good games against teams that are laughing stocks, and you ask if he could be the greatest ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get real. Even in the years that the Pats won the Super Bowl, it was due to their defense, not Brady.

I think it's tough to make a claim that any player is the "best ever" at his position until his career is over and you can look at that career as a whole. One great year doesn't push you over the top. I realize that Brady has already had several really good years, but if he reaches the milestone you mentioned this year, it doesn't automatically classify him as the greatest ever. What if he tanks the next 6-7 years of his career? (not likely but possible)
Save the "best ever" argument until the man is done playing the game, then compare him to other greats.

Well, I'd say if they win the Super Bowl, Brady is right in the same category with Joe Montana...
I've maintained that Brady and Manning are Montana and Marino(respectively)...20 years later...

No. Put him on a team with...Say...Indianapolis's talent. Indy would be 3-2 right now, or thereabouts if Brady was the QB. Not only is he not the best of all-time, he is probably only third or fourth best out of modern day QBs. Highly over-rated. He has always had so much talent around him, however, that nobody has noticed it. You have to give New England all the credit for the pretty boy's success.

I think it would give him the greatest season ever - but Manning's been lights out for a long time. Manning still better than Brady lifetime.

You are only as good as the people around you. If Pats can keep his o-line in tack and continue to have great receivers and running back and a defense that can keep Brady on the field, then he has a chance to be the one of the best ever.

Uhh... no. Who cares about stats? Peyton Manning, who is the actual greatest quarterback of all time, will have all NFL passing records. Peyton is great because he works really hard. Brady ran up the score on the Cowboys, not impressed by the numbers. We'll see how good his numbers are on Nov 9th.

It would be the statistical season ever for a QB. I dont judge one season for a career. He is already in the top 10 all time. Where his place in it is debateable.
