I'm currently uninsured and have previously been prescribed the birth control pill Yasmin. Well my current month's supply runs out in about a week and I need to find a relatively cheap way to purchase at least another three month's worth of pills. Does anyone use internet pharmacies to purchase their birth control pills? I don't have a current prescription since I haven't been to my doctor in about three months, but like I said I was prescribed these pills by my gyn. I know that with internet pharmacies you run the risk of outdated medications, ect. ect. but I really need my birth control. Has anyone had any luck with internet pharmacies before and if so, which one? Otherwise, is there any other way of obtaining birth control pills cost efficiently without insurance?

I know that planned parenthood offers BC on a sliding scale. You can always try them.
Also, I know that when you pay out pocket for any prescriptions, it is always best to shop around from pharmacy to pharmacy because they all charge differently. Costco is actully the least expensive and you do not need a card to use their pharmacy. Walmart supposedly has $4 presicriptions, as long as you get the generic (which is just as good). And also, Target pharmacy seems to have lower costs on presciptions. When I did not have prescription insurance I used Target and it saved me $10.00.
A couple other things, try calling your doctor and explain the situation, she might have a few samples to give to you, which will hold you over for a month or two. And lastly, I know in CA, if you do not have insurance, they have a gynocological health plan that is free and is good for one year (and then you just renew it) and it gets you unlimited BC for the year, you just only get a three month supply at a time. Not sure if that is available in your state (I have no idea what state you are in), but call your doctor and ask them if they know of any plan like that. If they don't call around to a few places, just in case they are unaware of this kind of program.
Good Luck!

There is no Yasmin generic. Yasmin and Yaz are the most expensive oral birth control medications.
I can't in good conscience recommend a non-NABP (VIPPS) certified online pharmacy. VIPPS certified www.drugstore.com sells 3 months of Yasmin for about $138.
There are many cheaper forms of oral birth control pills. You might want to consider one of them.

If you're worried about your parents finding out, go to your local planned parenthood or health clinic and ask them for birth control. Most of the time, it's free. I would highly recommend you don't order it online, you need a doctor to prescripe you those pills.

Ordering drugs online can cut costs considerably. A Consumer Reports study found that savings can reach 25% or more.
Experts say, sites that offer to sell "lifestyle" drugs such as Viagra and Propecia without a visit to your doctor's office. Those sites can charge as much as cheaper the usual cost of such drugs.
