Pres Bush would only allow Cheney's company Halliburton to bid on meals for troops in Iraq. This is not legal....How much could Bush be getting under the table? This is one of the most disgraceful
acts any president ever pulled. and i voted for this guy.......he wouldn't make a pimple on his father's ***.

Cheney IS a stockholder of Halliburton. Early on, he claimed he wasn't. But, an investigation proved he is. He has made mega money on his no bid Halliburton contracts. A Dept of Defense whistleblower reported on Cheney being involved with the Halliburton bids, and the FBI was suppossed to investigate. She was demoted and we have heard nothing further. This was last year. This is another example of our ineffective Dept of Justice. The no bid contracts were just wrong, period.

Actually, it's perfectly legal since no laws exist stating it is illegal. If anything, it's unethical, but a lack of ethics has never been illegal either. Nothing has shown Bush gaining any money as a result of his actions, his earning power has stayed the same unless he's hiding the money somewhere, and no one knows where or if he is so any 'information' concerning that is pure speculation. I wouldn't put it past him, but with a lack of evidence I'm not going to subscribe to that idea.

Yeah, well, Clinton, Reagan and Bush 41 all did the same. With the same company: Halliburton. It's time to make the no-bid contract practice illegal. Then we can whine about it.

I have news for you; Halliburton's contracts have ALL been NO-BID! (neither were Blackwater's, also a company based in Texas). I am certain this is the under-handed reason for the war in Iraq-- so they could all make billions of dollars, with the added benefit of exploiting the Iraqi people and their petroleum reserves.
Cheney has always been chummy with the Bush family and all their oil cronies, including the Saudi royal family. He was the CEO of the company, you know, and is the one behind its recently moving off-shore to Dubai, away from the prying eyes of Congress and the American populace. Sure, the State Department opened an "office" there, purportedly to "keep an eye on Halliburton", but anyone with half a brain should know the action was purely political and watched over by the newest "oil cartel", of the Bush family and Cheney and their buddies.
You can bet all of the Bushes own plenty of Halliburtion stock.
Just look at all the other illegal stuff this administration has pulled and gotten away with, such as the wire-tapping with no warrant needed. So much for the "uphold the Constiution" phrase in the presidential oath of office.
I'm sick to death of my constitutional rights being taken away and the sheer disregard for the UN's resolutions, the Geneva Conventions, and international law. Don't get me started on war crimes or the dumbing-down of the electorate, and the violation of voters' rights; we'd be here all day.
It turns my stomach. At least I don't have the guilt of having voted for all of those slime-ball sociopaths!

These contracts were set up in the Clinton administration and Cheney is no longer an employee of Halliburton.

easily no longer something. All Cheney made turned right into a retirement examine that at the same time as he become vp contributed to charity. He become investigated by technique of the FTC a number of situations and they found no longer something. Why are you no longer asking how a lot money some congressmen are making via insider trading? Your tale makes no factor out of something that concerns your question.

Who else but Halliburton could feed 10,000 men 2 meals a day starting Wednesday morning, 6000 miles from here?
What would you rather do? Screw around putting out bids while 6000 men wait for breakfast? I suppose you would.

I bid on government contracts for my job. There is a website - http://www.fbo.gov/ and ANY government bid over $25,000 MUST be posted there for the general public to be able to bid on. NO EXCEPTIONS. See below...

"FedBizOpps.gov is the single government point-of-entry (GPE) for Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000. Government buyers are able to publicize their business opportunities by posting information directly to FedBizOpps via the Internet. Through one portal - FedBizOpps (FBO) - commercial vendors seeking Federal markets for their products and services can search, monitor and retrieve opportunities solicited by the entire Federal contracting community."

To win a government bid, a company needs to prove that they are offering the government the best overall value. This is all public information, and if you want to see information on Haliburton's bid, it is available through the Freedom of Information Act. As well as who else bid too and why Haliburton won.

He's corrupt, and this is just one example of his corruption. there are so many others. if you want a challenge, identify a single choice that man has made that was truly for the good of the country and not self serving.
Well, he has done one thing impressive, his admin has made Clinton's look way better than it used to.
