Don b you're right it is a musical instrument and The Hooters were named after it but it isn't a guitar style instrument.
Time for one more hint. Bob Dylan sometimes plays one.

Dear, T4,

Here is what you wanted to know. I am the first to get this, so I deserve the cedits.

Hooter is the nick name for melodica, which is a free-reed instrument similar to the accordion and harmonica. It has a musical keyboard on top, and is played by blowing air through a mouthpiece that fits into a hole in the side of the instrument. Pressing a key opens a hole, allowing air to flow through a reed. The keyboard is usually two or three octaves long.

Previously used primarily to teach music fundamentals to children, the melodica was probably first used as a serious musical instrument by jazz musician Phil Moore Jr. on his Atlantic Records album Right On, 1969 (SD-1530). It is most often associated with Jamaican dub and reggae musicians in the '70s, most notably by Augustus Pablo.

Bob Dylan was one of the musicians to play the melodica. By the way, "The Hooters" were named after melodica or the Hooter but it wasn't the restaurant that was named "the Hooters" it was a band. Here's thye scoop on the BAND "The Hooter" not the restaurant chain. (The restaurant chain implies an owl anr/or perhaps the slang of a female body part with THEIR name)

"The Hooters" were formed in 1980 and played their first show on July 4 of that year. They took their name from a nickname for the melodica, a type of keyboard harmonica which is German in origin and made by Hohner. Two of the members, Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman, originally played in a band in the late 1970s called Baby Grand and released two albums on Arista Records.

- One man expresses an honest PERSONAL opinion, within the context of a casual conversation, and you relate that to all men? Besides the obvious error of generalization, let's look at this logically. First, context. You said his discussion was in terms of female anatomy. Her personality, intelligence, or any of a thousand other aspects that make up a human weren't part of the discussion. He was simply picking his favorite female body part. Second, wording. He stated his favorite body part. He did not say he disliked all others, just which his favorite was. Third. Relevance. How does his preference for a particular body part translate into "thinking with his groin on ethical or moral issues"? That is a huge leap. Fourth. I see many more women accusing men of Darwinian debauchery (if you're a woman add yourself to the count) than men claiming it as an excuse. Of couse sex is hardwired into humans of both genders. To accuse men of having that unique characteristic, or accuse men of handling that characteristic any better or worse than women, is sexist and insulting to both genders. By the way, why should YOU be either flattered or insulted. He has that opinion about 100% of the female population. That's like a singer who's flattered (insulted) by a fan because his favorite talent is someone who makes noise.

I'm in my 20's and I'm female. My favorite parts on the male body would be in order from favorite to least favorite but still enjoy are: 1.) Eyes and smile - if they have an amazing smile and some nice eyes it just makes me go wow, they are so handsome. 2.) Hands - nothing better then strong manly hands 3.) Chest/Back - because that's usually what woman are laying on when they cuddle up in bed or relaxing, you also hug them, etc. :-)
