Hi,

For my immunoblot I used donkey anti-goat IgG-HRP and ECL.

What does the IgG-HRP stand for?

Thanks!

Immunoglobulin G and horseradish peroxidase

You used donkey antibodies directed against goat IgG. The donkey antibodies had the enzyme HRP linked to them so that you could detect where they bound to the goat antibodies that were bound to the antigen.

IgG is the class of antibody.
HRP is horseradish peroxidase (the chemical signal).

It shouldn't hurt them. You do boil them before you load them on a gel anyway.
