I saw mini-tubs of play-doh this year at Target. Cute and fun to play with! My boyfriend is giving out mini-bags of pretzels and those mini-bags of popcorn. I would have loved getting any of those things as child trick-or-treating. The little plastic gew-gaws always got tossed in the trash ( really can't do anything with a plastic spider ring but save it for the next Halloween, lol!) Pencils were always useful though!

play dough, it lasts a lot longer than the candy, raisins are ok, but not all kids like them. I saw at walmart and toys r us you can get packs of 20 little play dough containers for around $3 or $4, or you could make your own. Here's a basic recipe:

You will need:
1 cup plain (all-purpose) flour
½ cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup water with food coloring added
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional but it makes the playdough smell nice!)

Put all the ingredients into a large saucepan, and stir over a medium heat until the dough forms into a ball. Allow to cool, and then knead until smooth.

Store in an airtight container (a Ziploc bag with the air pressed out is good).

I used those little mini containers of play-do last year, they come specially packaged for Halloween now. I also used some things from the party favor aisle, like mini card games and whistles (my little girl's school said "no candy"!). You could also give out things like fruit roll-ups, or the little 6 packs of crackers and cheese. Or small boxes of crayons.

basically supply the rattling teenagers candy. Its no longer a super deal. i'm particular in case you have been a toddler and could no longer have the money for a gown you would be doing the precise comparable element. what youngster needs to stay at abode on halloween basically via fact they dont have a gown. none.

My Mom gave out nickles one year. She just went to the bank and got like 15 dollars in nickles and each kid got a couple.

You can give them home made cookies, little apples, even oranges, or if you want something not to eat, you can give little toy cars for boys, and little dolls for girls. I think with them, they will have fun and cause no trouble to their parents.

Merci!!!

Be warned! If it's healthy non-candy food they will egg your house or car!
