I got Accord 97 Special Edition, changed Tharmostat and Rad switch 3/4 months back as I had over heating issues in engine because fan was not kicking in,since then working fine and fan kicked in proper time, just day before yesterday I drove 45 minutes straight in highway and stopped in a gas station and noticed my temp gauge is slightly up almost touching mid point, outside temp was 12 Degree Celcius(54 F) ,I turned off engine, fill up my tank,re-started,then it went down, later on I keep my engine on, and noticed fan kicked in and temp gauge was between 1/2 and 1/4 which is normal, checked coolant,it was ok.Later on didn't get any chance to drive for longer period of time,as my office is only 15 minutes drive from home.Do I need to concern abt this issue?

It sounds normal. My Taurus temperature needle will rise above half way until the fan kicks in when stuck in traffic. Then the needle slowly descends back to the half way reading where it normally resides. So it's normal to see the temperature rise somewhat until the thermostat is tripped and the fan finally comes on to cool the radiator. Good Luck and change your coolant every two years. Winter's coming!

Sounds like it is working correct. The gauge will rise and fall some, but not much as the thermostat opens and closes. If the swings are from a 1/4 to 1/2 of gauge travel then I would be concerned about the thermostat or fans not kicking on.

From what you have described, I wouldn't be concerned.
