For Halloween this year I've chosen to be my all-time hero, Link (Ocarina of Time) from the Legend of Zelda series. I plan on making this myself and making it look good. Not cheesy or lame. My only main problem right now is I don't know where to begin with his gauntlets. I want to make them out of leather, but the leather I've got doesn't seem flexible enough. Also, how would I go about making this tight and comfortable, while still being able to put my arms in and out with ease and the thing not looking too thick. Any help? Know of any sites that have directions for this kinda stuff?

Remember, this is the Link from Ocarina of Time, not Twilight Princess.

Once again, good old fleece would do the trick. If you want the hard one shown in the left arm in this picture, you could do a cardboard shield. The straps can be made from ribbon and little buckles, available in fabric stores.

The gauntlets can be a simple tube. You can sew up the end with openings for your fingers.
