I have two that I acquired over the years. you cannot break them and they still have 4 digits as there original phone numbers on the base. You can actually crack someone's skull with one of these babies if you needed to.

I don't even own a cell phone. I don't like them. I miss the rotary dial phones!

and the crank kind,,when the operator tells you they are not home..they went shopping, try calling back in an hour..
or the party lines where everyone on your line knew all about your family...then it went from 4 party lines to two party lines and we thought we were in heaven !! Might even be able to make a call with no one listening!!

Especially during a storm when the electricity goes out and my phone won't work because it plugs in.

The old rotary (click-click-click) phones had way more personality.
