Finally split up this weekend, after 23 years. He hasn't worked for 3 years and now he's not talking to me. I've done everything and continue to do it all. Why is he so mad?

He's not talking to you because he is feeling hurt and rejected. He is hurt and rejected because you put him against the wall and now he is forced to go out and find himself a job. Funny thing about love, when you are still in love with someone who doesn't love you back, anger is generally manifested. Hopefully, he will get out and get himself a job which is going to have an affect on who he is internally and perhaps then the two of you will either find yourselves back to each other or he will at least be able to let go of the relationship you once had enough to be "just friends".

listen Cat! that his problem for not wanting to work for the last 3 years of your relationship/marriage. Why bother with it, did he made the choice of not wanting to work? then it his problem, if you feel that bad about him not talking to you. do you want him back and he still not wanting to work? If he can't have babies for you, cook your dinner when you come in from work, keep the house clean and wash and iron your clothes. Let him go dang it! If he knew how good he had it, he should take care things at home while you're working. If not, then he should get a job or find some where else to go. So, let him go dang it!!!! next question....

Why are you letting this bum control you.This guy hasn't worked for 3 years and he is mad at you for splitting up.What did he expect?Don't be concerned with what he does or what he says you are the one who is responsible and decent.You should
be concerned with how you are going to be happy for the rest of your life.Believe me if you take control of your life you will be a much happier person.Good luck.

You aren't being punished....you chose to put up with him....you settled for him and his ways.....so if you are split up...why do you care that he is mad? After all...you said that you are the one that has done everything and continues to do it....

Simple.Because you are making him be a man and stand on his own two feet, when he really wants to be a bum and sponge off you.
Walk away with pride that this bum wont be using you or taking advantage of you any longer.

who cares.??? you left him, you can stop wondering about him. you are asking the wrong questions. how about 'finally split, how can i live the rest of my life in a way i wont regret' or,'split up, how can i meet interesting people or a guy who at least has a steady job'
ps... you know why he is mad, the free lunch is over.

I agree with the answer about losing the meal ticket. You have left him to fend for himself, oh so sad.. Wow keep your head up high and do not stress too much over why he's not talking. Go forward with your life and enjoy.

duh hes a loser and wants to freeload some more.
why would you miss that? hes not a baby make him get a job then try to work it out. but dont feel bad or guilty hes playing the victim when hes not. hes just lazy and misses laying around like a pet would do. but seriously tell him to grow uip
