I mean if you still put yourself in situations where your freedom or life is constantly threatened, then why even enter into a legit buisness?

I know sometimes they might have enemies from their time on the streets who still want to get at 'em. Yet still does that mean their life circumstances will never change. What's the difference between a rich drug dealer & a rich gangsta rapper? Both might end up with life in prison & both might get murdered-so what's the difference?

Equal_op-what the heck are you talking about? You would have to be living in a cave somewhere to not know how many gangsta rappers have been arrested & locked up, shot & yes murdered. & many have drug problems too. Rockers hardly live under the constant threat of being shot or locked up. And gangsta rappers stereotype themselves ALL of them-read any interview done by one anywhere or at any time. All admited gangsta rappers do so-I DARE you to prove me wrong-PLEASE post a link. My point is, that if they don't either change their lifestyle or stop trying to live up to an image-it puts their safety in greater jeopardy and their freedom also. Its like they are still hustling in the streets (& everthing that goes with it). As a former rapper I know from experience doing shows around other rappers it almost feels like standing on a street corner, you never know if you might end up in the middle of a fight or shootout. & we weren't g-rappers but we felt like we had to put on a certain face.

It's funny that you would ask that question. Ummm unless he or she decides to change their life around I guess like Master P and some others are trying to do then yes it can be possible. But you have to be willing to want to do it for the sake of yourself.I guess some just do not know better.

Funny that you target the lifestyle of gangsta rappers as being one that "might end up with life in prison & both might get murdered"

Many many more musicians will end up dead from drug overdoses than from being murdered. And the term 'musician' includes gangsta rappers.

How many rappers have been murdered, compared to how many have not?

And really, how many rappers can you name that are doing life in prison?

Get your facts before you make these kinds of generalizations. You are stereotyping.

Um...nobody listens to a rich drug dealer unless he is handing out free crack? I don't know, I don't really listen to that kind of music. Hey, I'm just asking, but shouldn't this be in the Entertainment and Music Section?
