An e-mail just informed me that I won the Spanish Lottery! Yee Haaaa, and I don't even remember entering. How should I spend my windfall? I was thinking of a Bat-thopter or maybe a cloak of invisibility. Any suggestions?

Wait for housing prices to drop a little more then buy up some real estate, get advice before you do that.Regarding the rest of it, with the stock market as it is at the moment I'd suggest a nice safe lower yielding investment such as term deposits (that's what they are called in Australia), I think someone told me they call them bonds there in the USA. Anyway, the credit squeeze is on too, so even banks aren't as safe as they were, so break up the nest egg into a number of bonds/term deposits with different banks. You have to give a few days notice if you need to withdraw them in an emergency, so that protects you a bit from impulse spending. Every time I save a certain amount I stick it in another term deposit, it's a great way to save. I realize this is probably a joke question, but I'm answering you seriously just in case, because it is a serious matter.

I'd b careful of those kind of things they can be scams or virus' that u can open and mess up ur computer.
If it's for real..
I'm a practical kind of person, I'd pay off some bills/debt off first then if anything was left over get something nice for a friend/family member or be a little selfish and get something for urself!

If you got a e-mail talking about winning money its either fake or a scam... I once heard about a story where they say you've won money and send you a check. Once you cash it they contact you saying the amount is incorect and you send them back around 400$... when the bank finaly checks the balance of the check.. they realize its fake and you end up paying them 400$.
Put those e-mails in ure junk mail.

You should consider investing in the foreign Bank Of Nigeria... The Prince of Nigeria just emailed me with an offer to invest 100,000 US dollars with an expected return of 1,000,000 US dollars.... all you'd need is a valid ID and the ability to cash large sum cashier's checks!

Depends on how much youve won. My dad won the $2,000 lottery and we went out for dinner, which we dont get to do often.
