She's been trying to come back from a shoulder injury for almost three years, but is battling both the injury and depression:

It looks like it. She would not be able to compete at the level she's capable of playing, because she is getting older. If she tried to make a comeback, she would have to go through what is now a much tougher women's game, just to get back to the top. I miss Jennifer as she was one of the best competitors and a 3-time grand slam winner. Had she stayed healthy, she may have been able to win another slam, as she is capable of beating any of the best players.

She never officially retired but she's been out of the game so long i'd be shocked if she came back to the game.

I've not seen any news coming across the wires to state such but I don't think she will come back because the game has changed ever so much since she left to tend to her shoulder several years back.

Gosh, I hope not. Just when she was hitting her stride she was hampered by injury. If Lindsay can do it then hopefully Jennifer can make a come back as well.
