I know one thing for sure: you need to spend your school hours studying and getting a good education.

Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You will get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

Apparently your school has decided that you have no need for Myspace on their computers or network. Any advice to do otherwise would be grounds for your expulsion. I don't think its worth the risk.
But you can fight the man get a petition to have in included, make it a point of discussion. Schools are funded by taxpayers take to one of them and see what you can do.

I don't think you will be able to log on. I think you should just go home and view it there, besides MySpace is not an approved learning device....Do something worth while!

You can surf the internet anonymously or invisible. You can browse the web at school without being blocked by the school's filter or in your own house. You can browse the web at work and not be blocked by your work's filter.

The way I generally do things like this is to just do it on my home computer using a secure shell tunnel from wherever I happen to be (school, etc) to my home network with ports 5800 and 5900 forwarded through the tunnel to my computer at home.. Then I point my web browser to http://localhost:5800/ and it opens up the java VNC client and connects to my home computer in a remote display kinda way.. that way I can do everything I want to where ever I want and the filters don't apply.. they only way they could block that is to block port 22 and there may be ways to work around that too...
of course you really shouldn't worry about going to all that trouble.. after all, none of your classmates can get to myspace from school either..

You can't.
We, the school CIA, are watching you small-kid. The moment you try to hack the firewall, your keyboard will be electrified and prefects will drag you off, in an orange jumpsuit, to a remote detention centre on the far side of the play ground.
At least that's what I heard.
