Sometimes for devilment I will place many bids with the smallest increments as possible, just for a laugh. It will be an item that I'm interested in, naturally, but I just like the thought of someone's reaction to seeing so many bids and it being only on a couple of quid! Of course, this relies on someone else having placed a substantial bid before hand. The challenge is to see how many bids you can place without beating theirs!

Amazing how the littlest things amuse me...

I've seen the bidding go over the BuyItNow price too, also there was an auction where the seller offered to add a BuyItNow but someone bid way over that price, crazy! I messaged the seller congratulating him but he was convinced it would be a non-paying bidder, oh well. Never did learn if that was the case.

Ha ha that's good.
I recently saw an item that was on offer as either an auction or "buy it now". There was one bid on it so I placed a bid just under the "buy it now" price. I was still not the highest bidder but I was amused to see that the original bidder's bid was now OVER the "buy it now" price - what a moron! Why didn't he just buy the item in the first place and save himself some money!

Most sellers wouldn't even notice it - They're already so used to pikey ebayers who wait til the last minute and then go "ooh I might pay an extra 10 pence for that, well maybe I could stretch to another 10 pence"
