Thanx to cowboy and statue for your suggestion.

But , I am not replacing my water heater. Just the valve....which seems to be stuck....but , there is no space to put 2 wrenches....even on wrench with a long handle might be difficult....but I will try...

Your removing both your water heater and. your pressure relief valve?
After you drain your water heater, lay it on the side, it's easier to work on it this way. Then take a couple of 18 inch pipe wrenches and use these to loosen the valve. If it's still tight, remember to let the pressure out first, then use a bigger wrench or put a two inch pipe over the ends of the wrenches that are a couple of feet long for leverage.
If this doesn't work, just forget it and buy a new one, they're not expensive.

If you are removing your water heater I assume you r replacing it. Whenever you change out an old water heater the prv should be replaced. If you need to remove the prv to remove the heater you should cut the pipe off it first then you can use a pipe wrench with a pipe that fits over the handle but is longer. This will give you more leverage.

Good Luck
