a question about Simon & Garfunkel in the Country section...that is kinda ironic, I always considered them to be Pop/Rock/Adult Comptemporary cuz I don't think they never charted a record on the Country chart...but the whole "Bridge Over Troubled Water" album was great

"Cecilia"
ok j6776c ;)
One possible interpretation of the song is that it refers to Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music, who is granting Paul Simon the ability to write songs, and then taking that gift away again. In other words it is about writer's block, which fits in with the fact that it was written at the last moment to fill an album as writer's block is particularly common when a songwriter is under pressure.

That lofty interpretation does not quite square with the verse suggesting[citation needed] the singer has been giving oral sex to the title character.

Michael H & I agree on songs! I love the four he selected: Hazy Shade of Winter , The Boxer, Homeward Bound and Sounds of Silence. And I might like so as to add Scarborough Fair & Old Friends. So many favorites, rough to decide upon! :)

Cecilia - It's about a girl leaving her boyfriend and her boyfriend catching her in bed with another guy. No one ever listens to the words, but when you do it's awsomely funny
