Well I found #1 the most enjoyable of the two. People at work don't get shocked enough by me any more.
Mrs Joe (though she wasn't Mrs then) and I did a passable duet IN a Japanese karaoke bar in 1990 - much applause and laughter from the (Japanese) patrons.

I would be the BEST at singing the Stones in my best Japanese accent! My husband is oriental with a heavy accent and so are all of his friends! I don't think I could distinguish Japanese from Chinese or any other because they all sound the same to me ( the accent) We actually karaoke in my living room all of the time but I would love to hear it on the loud speakers of a karaoke bar, That would be hilarious

Number 2 sounds like too much fun, I like a challenge. I'm going to need full kabuki makeup and a Hammond organ. There will be a lot of crying before I'm done, and they won't be fools...
