Being they've both made about the same number of great music -- since 1985... I'd say the Beatles. (and I'm a Rolling Stones, Mick fan from way back). The Stones should have retired decades ago, and right now... are merely stealing from their fans with the cost of seeing them.
The Beatles music stands the test of time, also. It's got wider appeal -- as kids can listen to it, too as easily today as 40 years ago! The Stones tunes were less "pop" and more adult-themes are starting to show their age, both in musicianship, subject matter/sayings (Under My Thumb) and dust... but, don't EVER think that the Beatles music was too simple, as 2-3 of their albums are classics for a reason.. and lyrics are much more sexual than people realize - like "Please, Please Me" is about asking for oral. Listen to it, next time.
