Do you ever ask a straight out question that should be answered with facts on here and just get lectured on everyone's opinions? It happens all of the time to me. How about anyone else?

I'm just saying i've asked just for answers, no opinions and still half of the answers still have opinions. People always give their unwanted opinions. If i just want to know what color the sky is i don't care about your beliefs on gay marriage.

An answer in itself is just an opinion that one person or a group of people can convince others that it's a fact. In other words what is fact is a fact because enough people believe it is.

Oh, I usually answer in what I think is a humorous manner, to some of the questions. I do this in pets, and believe me, the dog and cat owners seem to believe that whatever they think is correct 100% of the time. When I try to get them to lighten up, all I get is down checks.

Some people seem to think whatever kind of answer that that is asked, their own correctness must be displayed. Even if it is only peripheral to the question, whenever they can, they grab up a soap box and preach on and on.

And yeah, my answers may seem to be off point, but at least they are not preachifying on any point. My points are made to be laughed at.

And hey! My efforts to get a laugh may even be wrong!

Now. Isn't it nice to finally get someone to admit to maybe being wrong?

well, no. thumbs down is so not noticed by me. since no points are gained or lost it doesn't effect me. well I confess, it does bother me when I'm the only answerer that does get a thumbs down out of all the submissions. come to think of it now I feel flattered because that means they read my answer and disagreed with it and that means I got my point across.

Religious folks do that, like they ask how are you? but if you say I'm sick or in financial straights they offer to pray or say if you were living your life by the gospel this wouldn't happen to you.

When they are in need they want immediate help afterwards you can pray, a lady at work said to me" I know you're LDS but you can pray for me anyway while I get chemo."

I'm sure she's take a check too

A year ago she told me I was going to Hell

Love those opinions! Everyday its a new demographic study to look at what people are thinking in the English speaking world. Bring 'em on!

That is kind of the point of the whole thing. If you don't want someone's opinions then don't ask any questions. Need I say more? I mean your question ASKS for opinions not yes or no. yes or no answers are so boring!

No answers are informative and some people care. If you don't state it's a hypothetical question then they assume it's the situation you are in.

NO! that's a fact!
If you ask what 1+1 = and they say the flu...is that considered an opinion?

Sometimes my opinions are factual due to my life experiences. - that's a fact!!!!!!!!!

You can thumbs down my facts/opinions but you can't take them away from me. In this public forum I am allowed to answer any question in the best way fit in my opinion!!!!!!!

I'm tired of people like yourself who complain about opinions. You are posting in a public forum, what on earth makes you think you won't get opinions? No one says you have to read them, no one says you have to agree with anything said in response to a question you post, but I am here to tell you that whining about getting opinions is fruitless and irritating.......

I asked a Question, "Are you going out or staying in for Haloween?"

Some crazy woman lectured me on the Day of the Dead.

The Crazy woman Turns out, was my mom.
