I love crumpets. A long time ago, I worked as a baker and made crumpets, and English muffins. Only one of my jobs.

If I were in England, definitely crumpets. Toast in the UK is typically served dry, hard and cold!
Crumpets are more like muffins, and are served moist, hot and with goodies like jam, and my favorite: Devonshire Clotted Cream. YUM!

I always loved crumpets as a kid....with lots of butter on them. Haven't had them for ages, though.
