True conservatives and liberals will always disagree on certain issues, but when the argument is that anyone who disagrees with Bush on Iraq "hates the troops" or "wants the terrorists to win," do you realize how idiotic that sounds (especially considering that you are referring to at LEAST half of America).

"I've determined that anybody who uses the word neocon or neoconservative is just not worth listening to."

Evidently not.

"Anyone who refers to conservatives as NeoCons and blames Bush for everything is just as foolish as those who blindly follow him."

"When I see "neoconservatives" in your question then I know for sure that you are one of "Libtards" we are talking about."

Earth to neo-cons. You are the ones who invented the term, don't blame us patriots for using it.

I've never accused anyone of hating the troops, or wanting the terrorists to win. I simply do not understand how some people think that their continuous blather about the President and war and their constant accusations that anyone who disagrees with their line of thought is white trash, redneck, uneducated, toothless, sheep (the list goes on) - are helping anything.
In the meantime, while we're nice and comfy, the REALITY is we've got men and women on the ground thousands of miles away who have dedicated their lives to defending this country. Again this is REALITY. Yes, I want them to come home, just like my liberal friends. Of course I do. Many have come back and probably many more will to say they hated being there. To me that is ALL the more reason to keep the harsh criticisms at bay; you're NOT helping. Not at all.

I think the key is that most conservatives understand that Mistakes have been made, but that the larger picture is that they know that our success in this war is critical to our economy, National security, and the long term war on terrorism. If you think it is as simple as just a disagreement then why are nasty liberals trying to smear and slander a respected, War hero who may hold the key to our success. Or Politicians like Kerry and Murtha, and Obama telling outright lies about military activities, putting our troops in a negative light, not only to "uninformed" Americans, but to nations across the world including those who endorse terror. This is bigger than most Americans really want to address. Tell me what professional team for example has ever won a championship when half the team thought the coach and their own players were dead wrong and said so through the media. Even our greatest diplomat Ben Franklin is turning in his grave when these people speak out. Even those who we are fighting are listening. What's your strategy?

You bring up a valid point. It's hard to understand how they could be labeled as hating troops when you have war protestors going to funerals of soldiers who were killed in Iraq and chosing that as the site of the protest. (sarcasm intended) Ridiculous? Yes to label every person who disagrees with Bush on Iraq as hating the troops. However, to negate the facts and situations that have occured would be a grave oversight. I wouldn't say they hate the troops, but by choosing that as the protest site they are defiently being rude and crude and showing just how little class they have.

These type of questions are pointless. Liberals sound just as ridiculous to conservatives as conservatives sound to liberals. Conservatives see liberals parroting the exact same things that our enemies are saying in regards to Iraq so of course they will see liberals as siding with the enemy. Do liberals ever consider what it means when they are advocating the same position in Iraq that Al Qaeda is advocating? Do liberals even realize that Al Qaeda operatives like Zawahri have sent tapes congratulating the Democrats for unseating Republicans in the last election. It is these type of things that lead conservatives to claim libs are siding with the enemy.

When you INTERFERE with the war, you become a traitor.
No one says you have to agree. We all are entitled to our opinion. You're entitled to be wrong.
Holy Cow, you're entitled to buy spell check, since you obviously aren't the sharpest knife in the DRAWER.
And you ASSUME with your moronic neoconservative remark, Mr. Questioner, that at least half of America agrees with you.
I don't think so.
I think it's more likely that the stupid folks tend to be louder so they seem like they're a majority... and those are the same cretins who protest at FUNERALS.

By the sound of your question you have no idea what a Neo-Con is but you are speaking of the Far Right whom nobody listens to anymore. Or, as my old nun use to say, "If you have nothing nice to say, shut up.":) Peace

You're forgetting that more than half of that 'half' wants things that would result in damage to our country . So it really depends on specifically what you're referring to or what has been said .

I think, increasingly, that the movement is losing any intelligent membership it ever had. The only ones left are the ones who continue to bang their heads into the wall and wonder why it hurts, or people with pathological hatred of "liberals," hence their inability to look at reasoned arguments. If you'll notice, the head-in-the-sand neo-con posters with the most ridiculous arguments on YA! are likely just a handful of people with multiple IDs.

It is not disagreement with the war that causes such criticisms. Fine to disagree, but not to intervene with the prosecution of the war.
Alienating Turkey is the latest example.
