- monday morning

- supporting software which has worked for years suddenly isn't working, throwing the results for the software being tested into doubt

- most of the people in the office who would normally be able to help have already left due to the impending layoffs

- I have to know things that these former co-workers knew and which I don't know, all the while doing three things at once

Take a mental health day off, regroup and revisit. And....if you don't know, you don't know.......guess they should re-think the impending layoffs?! You can't squeeze blood from a turnip or pull the right answer out of your butt. Take a deep breath, relax and take a day or two off. Good Luck :)

Do some yoga on top of your desk. You don't know relaxed until you have your head tucked between your ankles with your posterior protruding out of the top of your cubicle. When you do that, the software will be the last thing on your and everyone else's minds.

I got laid off and it's survivable.

You are under stress. Are people having heart attacks there ?

Hope you are looking for another job.

The guy that laid me off is still alive but when he dies I hope he burns in hell.

oh always remember things could be worse and when enough is enough it just means your halfway there and things can only get better.
