Zero were burned in the Salem Witch Trials. The 19 that were executed were done so by hanging. That's a pretty good trick question that is sure to get most people. It got me at first until I read the question more carefully.

None were burned. They were hanged. There were 29 accused, and 19 actually killed- 14 women, 5 men. It didn't just happen in Salem either. It was in Essex, Suffolk and Middlesex counties.

Sarge knows his history! But it seems that everyone forgot about one who was hanged as a witch, because he was nameless. They actually accused and convicted a dog!
Visit Salem and they will give you the low down on it.

None. They were hung. The one male who was tried was well into his 70's and placed beneath the boards of a cider press and then weighted with stones until he suffocated to death.
Refused to say he was a warlock right up until the end too.

0. I believe. They were hanged or maybe one was pressed with stones.
