I don't think it's anything to brag about to sleep with tons of hot models. More chance to get hiv, std's that way, very immoral and unethical. Settle down Jeter.

If a professional athlete is going to take advantage of his celebrity by sleeping around, isn't it better to do that openly and honestly rather than get married to someone just so you can cheat on them like ARod and many other ballplayers? I'm not saying it's good to have sex with as many people as Jeter probably has, but it beats the heck out of lying and cheating on someone in the process.

I think most baseball players who are married have been with their wives for quite some time. They met them before they became rich and famous. Those who are making the big bucks and are still single probably are having trouble finding someone genuine who isn't out for just their money. With Jeter, I just don't think he's ready to settle down. He's too busy having fun. He's notorious for being a party boy. Having a wife may hinder that.

Being a professional athlete and being married is typically a bad combo.
One of my favourite players was Ryne Sandberg, when he retired (for the first), he wanted to spend more time with his wife. But, (if memory serves) his wife was more used to him being there 1/2 the time during the season. When he stayed home, they didn't last long.
He seemed to get divorced and re-married really fast, then joined the cubs again.
people in the limelight get married too quickly anyway, then divorce rate is higher, their average length of marriage a lot lower.
If he has no inclination for children (or just yet anyway), he's better off single.
No one follows him around with a camera seeing if he is seeing a stripper in Toronto because he's allowed to, he's not cheating on his wife.

I agree with Scuba, I think Jeter is very smart. Worst thing he or any athlete in his postion could do, is get married. That's the girl's ticket to wealth, pop out a few kids and she's set for the rest of her life.

that question is such a stereotyping of "older" single people. Get into the 21st century, don't go back to the Victorian age. What is up with men and women in their twenties and much older, single and/or divorced, still living at home with Mommy and Daddy? They may have children, may even have a date every weekend, but there they are still at Mama's breast and nipping at Daddy's wallet.

For your information, my mom had her third kid at age 38. When it is a written law you have to have a certain number of kids at a certain age? His top priority is baseball, which there's nothing wrong with.

1) A millionaire
2) Good looking
3)Is able to date models and superstars
4) Is not tied down by a wife or kids...
