Call the police

2007-10-15 07:18:11 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 2 0

First, call the police. Second, write a friendly note for your neighbors, telling them what happened (in case they are not aware) and suggesting that they put a timer on their alarm, so it doesn't go off continuously for more than 15 minutes or so at a time (your local police department or sheriff's office should be able to tell you if there is a local limit). Then, if at all possible, get out for at least a while - get a breather. Ideally, you should be out until they've come back and shut down the alarm.

Get ear plugs and set multiple alarms to go off every hour against your shared wall through the night. The joy in the plotting will help you get feeling better about theirs.

Have you called the police yet?
What kind of alarm?
House alarm, smoke detector, car alarm?
If it it a house or a car alarm, call the police and have them come and disable it.
If it is a smoke detector, call the fir department and have someone come out and disable it.
That's part of their job.

if you're in an apartment, try to blow a fuse.. turn on everything in your apartment at the same time.. a good way to do this is if you have space heaters.. those use a ton of power.. the alarm should be off when the landlord replaces the fuse and the power comes back on..

Call the police someone may have broke in over there. They may have killed someone. Alarms are for a reason not just to amuse you.

Either call the police, or when your neighbors get home, tell them what happened and maybe they'll never do it again. Hope this helps.
