I haven't seen my children in over a month! Does anyone know what to do when your ex isn't complying with court orders on child custody arrangements?

You go back to the court who issued the orders -- inform the court (using the proper forms) that the person is not obeying the previous court order -- and ask the court to intervene.

What state are you in? I know a lot about this subject and would be willing to help. Is your current court order specific as to the dates and times of scheduled parenting time? That will make all of the difference. If you have specifics and not just "reasonable visitation" then show up at the location of drop off or pick up and if the ex doesn't show up call the police and report a denial of visitaiton, have your court order in hand as they will want to see it. Insist that they make a report. They may not want to. Ask to speak with a supervisor if need be just make sure they make one. Then go and get a copy of the report. Save these until you have three and then file for contempt of court. Email me and I'll give you more specifics. Also google SPARC and choose the listing that say divirce and custody.

Depending on the laws of your state...
If you already have a visitation/custody order/ parenting agreement in place then it will be very easy to do.You shoudl be able to get an attorney and have the attorney file petition which will try to get your ex to pay for your legal fees due to her negligence. If there is no order of visitaion in place, she is not obligated to provide your children to you, and this needs to be established. Again, by going to court, you really should get an attorney, you would have to pay your own legal fees, but getting something in writing of when you can see your children...

If you live in the U.S. AND you have a visitation order, go to the court where the original order was issued and file a show cause for contempt against the ex.

IF you live in Missouri, you MUST file a FORM 14 Family Acess Motion first
