I voted for George Bush four times (twice when the father ran, and twice for George W, who I consider the greatest President EVER). Our economy is soaring, we are the most respected and loved nation worldwide, and things couldn't be better if you're an American. I think we need to keep it in the family, if you know what I'm saying.

Any chance Jeb Bush will consider a run in the near future?

Let's focus on more positive future developments...like the possibility of a giant asteroid crashing into the planet and wiping out life as we know it.

I think Jeb will consider a run in the near future, though not in 2008. He may wait for the right moment - possibly 2012 or 2016.

Jeb is hyper competitive with his brother. He thinks he can do better, he loves a challenge, and he's got the drive, ambition and smarts to do it. Unlike his brother, Jeb is a total workaholic who actually knows the minutiate of policy and can argue pretty effectively with reporters and other politicians.

OTOH, Jeb's self-assuredness and confidence can also be a weak spot for him - he believe's he's the smartest guy in the room and this may come across as arrogance in public. It follows that he isn't much of a consensus builder (my way or the highway), not unlike brother George, and that has come to bite him in the behind in the past.

Where I disagree with you is on whether a Jeb presidency would be good for the country. IMO, Jeb pretty much shares the same political ideology as his brother. They both love tax cuts to a knee-jerk degree, they cater to the well-off, they love privitization of government functions, and most importantly - they don't believe in government transparency (Jeb watered down the implementation of Sunshine Laws in Florida). They both believe in a winning at all costs approach to partisan politics and will behave in a punitive manner towards their political opponents.

In short, Jeb would be a more effective George W, which I think would be a disaster for the country.

I don't believe that there is any chance that Jeb Bush will be voted in. The current issues and problems will overshadow any desired run by Jeb. If the current philosophy and approach on national and international affairs does prove he was correct, it will be many years down the road.. and not in Jebs life time. I think he has the kiss of death (figure of speech) being related to George.

Nope not this time around but don't worry Chelsey Clinton is in the wings and Jeb's son is into politics as well so perhaps the family dynasty's can switch back in forth for a few more decades. Hill for 8 years than Jeb as President and his son as VP than pres for 8 than Chelsey for 8. Could be a nice crown sharing monarchy for a while.

I hope Jeb Bush runs for President in WINS, that way America can have another President Bush for another Four Years.

I think the rest of the world (including NATO) would probably club together to turn America into a pile of ashes, if Americans were stupid enough to put another Bush into the Whitehouse.

That would be great then the Democrats would not even have to spend much on campaigning and still win by a landslide. With the Bush moniker I doubt he could get elected to much of anything.

What planet do you live on? The economy isn't doing well for middle class families. It's doing great if you're his 1% richest in the country who are Bush's base. And, the world hates us since Bush invaded Iraq. You've never left the country before have you. I didn't think so. We don't need any more Bush family crime members as leaders in this country. And, you can have the Clintons too.

You're kidding right? "America is the most respected and loved nation worldwide" -- into what pile of sand have you been sticking your head? I've had enough of shrubbery trying to run the country, lets elect some people, instead.

I too voted fow W and his father but I have to tell you, after that Terri Schiavo thing and the Flag Display thing in Port St. Lucie, I have some doubts about Jeb. I do like the way he weeded all the pork out of the Florida budget.
