I would have to say yes, it does for me too. The reason I think this is your heart can over rule your mind, you know those situations when your head is screaming no, but cuz your heart is in love it goes ahead anyway? And when you have a crush, when you're an adult, you know you shouldn't spend all day day-dreaming about some guy, but your mind keeps wondering.... Thats your heart taking over again. So yes, I would say your heart takes up more room then you're mind.

Your mind represents reason, your heart emotion, compassion and the like. Okay, that established...no. My heart does not take up more room than my mind. I use both equally and they both coincide with each other so that one could not possibly work without the other. However, there are certain issues that require me to use reason and logic only, and during said situations, it is very hard to forget my heart.

Joseph Chilton Pearce's "The Biology of Transcendence" has information about the heart's strength being about 1,000 times stronger and more flexible than the brain, which is supposed to listen to the heart for good health. Http://www.heartmath.org is another site. "Climb the Highest Mountain" is a book which teaches balancing the love, wisdom, and power of one's soul or inner child or being. "Harmony" by O. M. Aivanhov is another good book, as is "Watch Your Dreams," by Ann Ree Colton. "Harry Potter and Philosophy," ed. Baggett and Klein, is good about philosophy of courage and beauty, etc., found in "HP" books. Also, two books written by authors of the heart are "Expecting Adam," by Martha Beck, which is excellent, and "Autobiography of a Yogi," by Paramahansa Yogananda.

cheers,

The "heart" in this question is an organ of feelings. Feelings are feeling OF SOMETHING. Those "somethings" are mental in nature and concern your values--pain when a loved one is hurt; love when someone is worth loving; jealousy if you are irrational; envy if you are rational; etc. So I hope to heck your mind takes up more room, since it takes the mind to determine what all those "feelings" are feeling OF. And whether or not they are the correct feeling to feel in the context.

If it came down to a contest my heart would win every time, I wear it on my sleeve, my brain does learn lessons but I have compassion in everything I do, so although I really feel like treating someone terrible like they have just treated me, I can not my heart tells me not too. So yeah my heart rules big time.

In terms of thought space, my mind takes up more room than my heart. The balance is better now than it used to be, though, which is good for me and the people I am with.

Good question!

Yes, that's why sometimes my mind goes blank, I'm irrational....It needs to catch up with my heart ->chill, take things as they come more....

for me, it depends on the situation.. and sometimes my mind goes first, and then my heart comes in.. sometimes teh contrary, but i found out, that it sometimes makes things more complicated.. i try to be what i have to be looking at the situations.. sometimes i just don't think and see what happens.
