If this is not part of your daily news, it should be just to realize just how serious the situation is in Baghdad for US forces there...

To the second poster; I would suggest that you listen to this reporter who HAS been in Iraq often in the last 3 years and who DOES say that the Green Zone is attacked almost every day these days.

We only know what we receive in the news and rarely do we get to listen to people have been there, done that. This guy has been and says that. You deny it. So, take the issue up with him. He has a personal history that you might find interesting, besides.

Regarding the link, it is from DemocracyNow - a so-called non-mainstream media source, but really, as long as it has been broadcasting, it SHOULD be.... And I trust it far more than I would the NYT even, for example. I don't always agree with them or their viewpoints, but neither do I with my better friends.

Rather disappointed in the two responses - so I suppose that, yes, everybody DOES know that they are being attacked, almost every day. Here's an ABC News-related report about the frequency of attacks...

I don't think there's enough responses to warrant my vote for anybody.

The Green Zone is not attacked every day. Whenever it is attacked the news media tries to pretend it is a big deal.

It sounds like you need to spend less time listening to some reporter who has never been to Iraq and more time listening to a soldier who has been in Iraq.

Yea, I do. That's because there are no front lines like Vietnam. The psychological toll on those guys is tremendous.
