looking at a case by case basis etc.. But when a system benefits women at the expenses of men the reaction of women to criticism is usually to turn the discussion PERSONAL, away from the system and make the discussion about HIM his personality his choices, oh yah his pick in women ( if he didn't want to be taken to the cleaners he should have picked a better woman teehee), instead of discussing a system that gives women the opportunity to take away children from a father and take the father to the cleaners.
Oh yah also when women are favored at large, like child custody, suddendly we have to look at a case by case basis, but when more men than women succeed elsewhere it is sexism and dealing with it on a case by case basis is a no no.

Your question presupposes some pretty broad generalizations about how issues are discussed. Nevertheless, there is SOME truth in what you're suggesting. Of course, some men also use various deflecting tactics and inconsistent approaches to similar problems.

Why?

Because people often let their own concerns and resentments and defensiveness cloud their judgment.

Not a male-female problem, per se, though.

The reason why the court system is set up the way it is today when it comes to divorce and child custody issues is because in the past, most men did not want custody of their children. It used to be that men automatically got custody of the children many years ago but all that changed. Even today, it a man does get custody in a divorce, he's likely to turn his children over to his mother or another female relative so they can raise them. I've seen that happen.

A system marginalizes women in favor of men the system is criticized. Since case by case is not criticized, there is not need looking at a case by case basis. It is sexism and dealing with it on a case by case basis is a no no.

Awesome question. The feminists employ many tactics this one is the ol switcheroo where they deflect criticism of the areas where they hold the cards and instead blame it on men. For example. When someone asks why do so many feminists hate men? We tend to only get to answers from the feminists. 1 I don't hate men 2 That isn't real feminism. They deflect from the fact that men are experiencing hatred from feminists and women in general by saying either they don't do it or that those who do aren't true feminists thereby attempting to change the issue and the original question was never answered thereby they avoided the criticism that would have surely come if the question would have been answered honestly. Read feminist posts real close and you will begin to see the pattern. In the above example the next step would be for a feminist to post a question that ties into the first but further deflects from the issue. Like "Why do anti feminists blame feminist for hating men when that isn't what feminism is about?"They don't really want an answer they want to further deflect the attention away from them by putting the blame on us and also making themselves out to be victims. So in my example feminist have gone from man haters to victims by the simple tactic of switching things around until they get the result they want.

Because there is no "system" that marginalizes men. This "system" would be called a "matriarchy" - AND WE DON'T LIVE IN ONE. Child custody in the U.S. does not constitute a "system"; it constitutes like 0.1% of a WHOLE SOCIETY AND CULTURE that TAKES MEN AS THE NORM. And what about in the rest of the world? You're going to deny that 90% of the world's female population is living under even more openly repressive and misogynistic patriarchies than women live under in the U.S. and Europe?

WE STILL AND HAVE FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS LIVED IN A BIG FAT PATRIARCHY. THIS is the "system." This is our history. Try to learn history instead of distorting and ignoring it. Read a few sociology basics, while you're at it.

Women are not favoured in society by any means. Equality is not favouritism.
