Help! the sims 2 cd wont load?

the sims 2 cd wont load..its showing up on my computer but whenever i click it to make it load it doesnt do anything..help!

have you tried any other games? well if not , it cud b ur cd/dvd drive or viruse probs on ur pc, i did hav dat prob once and i hade w2 format my system and reload windows

you're compute might have a virus, sometimes i move the mouse for about 2-5 mintues and it works but mostly it's either you have too many icons on your computer or a virus
