There could be several reasons, and they would all be speculation at this point. No one on Yahoo can answer this, only the person who seized the package can.

If you know what was in the package, and where it came from, that may be helpful in determining why they seized it.

Or, maybe the package was just right next to another package and the odor of explosives or drugs transfered on to the seized package. Just setting the package on the ground next to your car in a parking lot, where some gasoline may have leaked, could trigger a seizure.

Once the package is cleared, it will be delivered. If it has something illegal, that is another story.

How can we explain something if there is no full detail of what is seized by the government in this case of yours?

The government seized something from you. OK, and then? Seized what? We assume this is the USA. The government seized things or cargo if they believe there is some violation of the shipping or the cargo itself is questionable. Send you a letter to explain their action and will ask you to appear in their presence next time around in their office.

Next time you ASKED question like this one, PLEASE explain in full what you are asking in details, we are not fortune teller or psychic that we all know what you people are talking about here.

Give you example- in this case. The government seized a cargo of mine in pier or airport, the cargo consist of this and that description, coming from this and that country...etc at least we got full view of what you are writing not this kind of we assume that this is and not that.....

It depends on when and how it was seized -- and what country it was seized in -- since laws vary by country.

In the US, packages can be seized by customs upon entry -- or they can be seized pursuant to a warrant -- or based upon probable cause in a few other situations. Other countries have different rules.

So, it's impossible to answer your question without lot more details.
