Do you think fans would embrace him the way Yankee fans embraced Damon and Clemens?

Bristow: The day that a team builds a franchise on stylish high fives, jokes, and players that smile is less likely than George Steinbrenner bouncing a check. I doubt any of that matters. Also, why would you buy his jersey if you'd like to curse him out. That would be like getting a tattoo that said "Sorry Girls, I'm Gay" and then asking a woman if you could buy her a drink - it just doesn't make sense now does it?

If I saw A-Rod walking down the street, I would curse him to his face, however, if he went to Boston, I would be first in line for the jersey. With Manny coming up on the last year of his contract, the Sox will have a heavy bag of money to dish out. They are however going to let Shilling go at the end of the season, which will clear up about $10 million or so. Lowell is also a free agent and will want some coin for his great year as well. If they lose him, that is a big void behind Manny in the line up.

I personally would love to see A-Rod in a Sox uniform. Why not? He is going to go down as the greatest "regular season" player EVER. He will break Barry's record in about 8 years. But if you watch games and look at the dugout personalities of the Sox v. A-Rod. You see that he is not the same type of player. He is there as an employee trying to make money. Watch the smiles on the Sox players, jokes they tell each other, or stylish high 5's. A-Rod is none of that.

All in All, He is amazing, and he would be a great asset to the Sox, but he will never come to Boston.

There would be no way to stop them. I'm a Red Sox fan, and if A-Rod opts. out of his contract, then we will pick him up. We almost had him before, but the players association didnt think we were paying him enough, so it was no deal and off to the yanks he went..

NO. People love Lowell and want the Red Sox to re-sign him. A-Rod is one of the least popular people in Boston sports.

we just finished with the Curse of the Bambino and now we might have to think about The Curse of the A-Rod, the greatest not crucial performer in baseball history?

Not a Boston fan but I think maybe the Sox would go after pitching-which they need-not hitting. Considering Schilling is toast, Wakefield is old and Dice-K is overrated as hell.

I doubt that he will come to Boston but I will accept him as he does.

He should go but as a shortstop only and leave Lowell at 3rd base. What a 3,4,5, lineup that would be.

I don't see that happening. A-Rod is not a Boston (town, not team) kind of guy.

He'll end up as a Cub, in L.A., or remain with the Yankees.
