Is there something to lean on? Is there a spot reserved for you to stand or you have to fight with others?

There are reserved areas for people with standing room tickets. However, it's slightly unrealistic if you get there late in the game. You'll need to get there a little early, or at the very least, right when the game is starting. Then you can get a nice spot against the railing and watch easily. It's better than other seats in the park. . . .The standing room goes all along the infield grandstand seats with very few exceptions (which are marked as such). So you can really luck out. I've had standing room for all of the playoff games so far (and will for the World Series, should it come to Boston) and it's been easy enough to find a spot to hang out in. Even if you aren't right up front, there are easy enough ways to see the field. Only bad part is, it's very windy up there, sort of like a wind tunnel, so plan on being a little chillier than if you perhaps had seats. Other than that it's well worth it for the price, and once you are in the park the experience is just great. Enjoy the game!

Standing Room At Fenway Park

You stand in the area under the State Street pavilion - roughly behind sections 14-23. Once your in, you go can virtually anywhere in the stadium though. Their are two concession stands and some tables - but you can't see the game from the tables. I have left field tickets for game one of the WS, odds are I will end up over by section 22 - standing.

Standing is better than sitting in the right field grandstand. The seats are tiny & they face the bullpen. You have to sit with your head turned 75-90 degrees all night. If your a fat old guy like me it's too uncomfortable.

No reserved spot-- get there early if you want to be close to the railing to lean on it; otherwise you will have to fight the crowd. But it is usually a very fun place to see the game from, like one big party. Just be prepared, there will be a lot of rowdy people (especially if you are going for an "important" game like a playoff game), lots of people drinking, and you may be bumped into a couple of times as people step out to get a hot dog or use the bathroom. If you do not do well in crowds, this is not for you, but if you can enjoy the party atmosphere, it may be the best place in the entire stadium to watch the game!
