I was able to pick up the business but income is not the same. Since I took over it, things have been better operationally, but financially not. I feel betrayed, depressed and have alot of anxiety. How can I overcome this? I have always felt like this, it's just getting worst!

For heaven's sake KEEP THE FAITH in yourself that this can work out. You had the faith in the first place to start a business, and keep it going. Now fix the wrongs, and yes it may take time....but your integreity should prove to be your best ally. Stop using energy negatively and be surely positive in every action and thought. YOU will overcome this and be financially solvent again.........(Keep the FAITH in yourself) Put a smile on that face and be as cheerful as you can, and portray a winning heart. This will let everyone know that you have what it takes to get over the betrayal, and put it behind you. No one wants to be around some grouch, or negative person all the time....NOW SMILE AND GET ON WITH IT....

That is one of the hardest parts of being a small business owner. The stress.

Relatives can often bring down a business because you can't operate normally with them... or that was how it seemed to me.

What you need Im sure is orders. Living well is the best revenge. The feeling of being betrayed will never go away until that person apologizes and asks for forgiveness. That may not happen. So it is a cross you must bear. If you resurrect your business, and start making good money, that pain will recede.

Feeling bad (always) is a terrible thing really. I encourage you to see a therapist... a psychiatrist first. Let him or her lead you for a while :)
