Its like politics is brainwashing people or something. I mean there is absolutely nothing wrong with voting and doing things that are productive to our country. But......Why is it that there seems to be this "political racism?" Must a man hate his neighbor because he is a democrat or vice versa? hmmmm...... thats a little extreme isn't it? A person must stand up for what he or she believes, but that doesn't mean that a liberal democrat or conservative republican should be fired from his or her job for what they believe! This is a problem! I have seen it with my own eyes! I have a lot of liberal friends. we don't see eye to eye, but hey! we are still friends and we do not let politics interfere with that. I'm able to have a conversation with them without any bad vibes at all.

These are, indeed, divisive times. It may even be more so now than the 60s (I was a child, and was only somewhat aware -- but, like now, political issues tore friendships and families apart; the other view was "evil" and people lost their tempers with each other over the issues of the day).

It's good you're able to maintain your relationships with those of differing views -- you aren't alone, by the way; a lot of people are able to do the same.

I don't know of any firings, so I can't speak to that.

It's not that America is too political; there's nothing wrong with being political.

But I believe that hate radio has had a role here. There are a lot of people who have been listening to people like Rush spewing hatred toward the left, for decades now. Or watching people like O'Rielly or Coulter.

They actually believe what these people say, and so run around with the idea that people who disagree with the President hate America and are terrorists.

It's absurd, but when you hear such trash thousands and thousands of times, you start to believe it.

But if you can keep your cool, more power to you.

Things will change, and the hatreds will subside, as they have before.

I don't hate cons. I just think they are misguided. However, I am fairly sure that doesn't always go both ways. Especially, given the sudden spike in violation notices for answering a questions about how to infer temperatures from the distance past....not that I bitter. I've been deleted before for no reason and will probably be again. I swear the only people more report happy on here than R&S are the people on politics.

I just can't understand these people who simply cannot imagine any viewpoint but their own.

All I know is lately, every political question I answer on here, I get a violation notice by some leftist.
So much for freedom of speech.

And the interesting part is I have NEVER reported anyone on here.

Yeah I agree. I think it is because the extreme's on both sides are forgetting about the people who are in the middle leaving us to either go extreme or lose our party affiliation we need to take our Government back A.S.A.P
