This is my mission... to stop trashtalking in and out of the NFL. I'm a Patriots fan and I get tired of it. Can we all just get along? What I'm asking here is if fans of other teams can just ignore what some stupid & ignorant NE fans say and not let it effect your view of the Pats. Us true Pats fans know the only reason you don't like them is because of Pats fans you might know that talk trash to you. I will be the first to admit... most of our fanbase are gay bandwagon fans... why the hell do you think there were so many down in Dallas... because all the bandwagon fans of Dallas in the 90's are bandwagon fans of the Pats now. It sucks for us true Patriots fans who sat in the Foxborough stadium watching our team get their asses kicked all through our franchise history with a few thousand other fans in the stadium. Now that we win... bandwagon fans help sellout Gillette but them leave when they know the game is in hand, while us true fans stay to the end to appreciate the fullexperience

It sucks hearing the trashtalking when I have waited so patiently through the worst of times to have my team be good while these cocky *** bandwagon fans talk trash and make our team look bad. Those aren't true fans... the true ones have been there since the beginning and don't say a word. So lets end trash talking period and appreciate the best team in the NFL and look forward to some football... I know I do.

Hi - Really like the 'opener' & the next comment -
I had intended to weigh in against all 'the team haters', when
THAT question was asked - too long ago now, but this is the same topic -
So, what's all this pathetic, puerile abuse of teams, individual players & supporters - no matter which ones - when we're all supposed to be SPORTS fans (I didn't know 'sport', in its
true sense, was ever meant to embrace personal & collective abuse in its make up!)
I, too, am a Patriots fan - since 1971, when many of the bad mouths weren't even born, probably!
And, I'm British - how, why & what does that mean!?
I was in the Navy (ours - the British Royal one) & was sent to Groton, CT in '71 - saw my 1st NFL game - in Blue, Green & Purple then - worst TV ever!) - but was hooked by New England, the place, & its football team!
Pretty thankless, being a Patriots fan, even then - later ('80),
I was sent to Rhode Island & got down to some serious watching, & attending at Foxborough.
Still a misery though - magic names - Grogan, Morgan, Jackson, Francis, Hannah - but nothing to show for it - no Play Offs - bugger all, as we say over here!
Then I went to DC for 2 years - real hell THERE because THEY are so arrogant about THEIR team! - probably still are in spite of a fair run without much success recently!?
The Pats languished, for ever, as it seemed - because - there was (primarily) the NFC - Cowboys, Rams, Redskins, 49ers, Giants & Packers - but you couldn't get to them anyway because of the Dolphins, Chargers, Steelers, Raiders & Bills!
Did we 'hate' those GREAT teams - the ones who not only made it to the Super Bowl, but actually did (& won it) several times!? No, you could only admire them & dream that the Pats might one day get there!
Then a miracle - we finally did - & got buried, literally, & humiliated by the Bears & the Fridge! Then, another miracle -but it was the Packers - so, no real hope, ever - but keep the faith!
However, one could only appreciate those other true greats as they progressed - to me the standouts being Don Shula's Dolphins & Bill Walsh's SF teams - magic!
NOW - for Walsh, Montana, Rice, Clark & Lott - read Bill B, Brady, Moss, Welker & Samuel - yes, we are entitled to be a great team in the mould of those 49ers (& other 'dynasties'
before them) - why not?
And, who knows when, we'll be in the doldrums again, such is the nature of the NFL? - but excellent that it is so, I think!
(look at poor Miami now!)
In the meantime, can the 'haters' not just admire THIS great team, whilst, of course, loving their own & waiting for the day when 'their worm WILL turn' - even the Saints & the Lions will come good one day when they get 'their BILL BELICHICK!)
So, Good Luck to you all!

It is a pipe dream at best! It would be nice if we could actually talk about the games and have friendly rivalries.
Growing up in Texas you learn to have a friendly rivalry when your best friends parents are Aggies and your whole family is Longhorns. Thanksgiving has always been a fun weekend for me and my friends and we might get upset if our team loses but we never hit below the belt.
The funny thing is this, the true fans aren't the ones spewing garbage all day on the board, it is the "fans" that decided this season to like that team. It happens every year and then there are those that just hate a team that win. There aren't many true fans anymore, you just have to weed through the bandwagon to find them and appreciate them.
I love my Cowboys, Longhorns, and Spurs for life. I love em even when they are losing or get their butts kicked. Getting their butts kicked brings them back down to earth.

Seriously, this mission of yours is a little far-fetched. End trash talking? It's just not realistic there Shooter.
I will take issue with oen thing you stated here. I do not dislike the Pats because of what "Pats fans I know have said to me." Instead, I dislike the Pats due to the overall lack off class displayed by their head coach, and several of the players. And the fact that the Commissioner of the NFL told the world that they were cheating helps all of us dislike them too.

Sadly, there are more Pats fans that are idiots then there are ones that are respectable, at least on this website anyways. But my dislike for the Pats organization comes from the fact that they were caught cheating. I used to cheer for them when they played teams I absolutely hate, like the Colts or Steelers, but now my respect is gone. But again it goes back to those silly fans that make me voice my real opinion about the organization.

Look when you're the best at whatever it is you do in life, sports or whatever, people are coming after you, people want to take shots at you to bring you down, they look for everything negative, and don't care about the good things. This comes with the territory of being on top, its normal, it should be expected. So don't take it so hard....this just shows you how people truly are inside.....Besides you have no control over this, people don't play in the games, but they sure like to act like they do...
