Better to remain single, and live alone until you have decided for sure on a life mate.
Then marry.. and stay that way....

It shouldn't make a difference one way or the other. If you're with someone for a prolonged amount of time and you decide to break up it's going to be difficult. You'll have to still divide your stuff up and if you have kids it's still going to be hard on them. But if you're married I think you'll try harder to keep from divorcing. It won't be as easy to just up and leave a person because divorce is expensive.

Single and cohabitate. Divorce can be messy.
Ultimately unless you have children, or are very religious, there is no real point to getting married these days anymore (in my opinion).

Both are ok as long as you 2 are happy with. But just want to point out that being afraid of marriage because of the possibility of getting divorced later is not rational.

BY all means remain single....... love and committment to a relationship do not depend on a piece of paper!! Divorce can be such a pain....... I'd rather avoid it. So not planning to get married here, ever!!!!

most people don't think they will divorce when they get married. if you know you won't be able hold the marriage together then seek counseling or break up and go your seperate ways. but there are more options than to live together or marry and await the pending divorce, that sounds so pessimistic.

If you're having to ask this question, then don't get married. Marriage is a commitment and should not be entered with low expectations.

Either break up is equally painful. With marriage at least you have some legal rights. I would never shack up. Men do that just so they can have an easy exit when something better comes along.

if i had my life over, i would have stayed a
career person all my life, being selibate and
never get to attatched to anyone, because you
always have this worry that something will happen
and you will not be able to handle it
