John Bohner was on Fox News and said Republicans are sponsoring legislation that would get 4 million kids health insurance.

Why aren't democrats accepting this compromise?

Is it really about health insurance for poor kids, or being able to campaign that republicans oppose getting poor kids health insurance?

I am not a Bush supporter by any means, I just find fault in politics as usual. I've attacked Republicans dozens of times on yahoo answers so before you attack me check yourself and your ad hominem attack.

Good point. It is a myth that poor children are not already eligible for low-cost and no-cost health insurance. My kids come home every year with papers from school notifying parents of its availibility and forms to sign up. You can lead a horse to water....

It's about adding 4 million more to the rolls, not removing anyone. So why not take the 4 million for right now and fight for the other 6 when you can? But take the 4 million and get that started NOW.

Because the Democrats are holding out to get 10 million kids health insurance.

its not a compromise, it would not even fund the kids that are on it now (closer to 5 million)

so i guess its ok to kick 1 million children off health insurance

It's merely to drag things out, make the Republicans look like kid hating heathens and garner political gain.

Typical politics!

You got it. The Democrats only use poor children to get votes. You didn't really think they care about taking care of them, did you?.......
