I've bought a 3 Gang light switch as I currently have 2 gang controlling 3 lights (Kitchen/DiningRoom/Out House), but on wiring it up it only lights up 2 of the 3, and the more I check the net it seems that they only can control 2 lights. Can somebody help, as I'm in the dark here!

Thanks

A 3 gang switch will control three different loads. In a bathroom we use them to control the light, the fan, and the heat lamp. It will control your 3 fixtures but you must have a separate wire going to each fixture from the switch.

A 3-gang switch will control three lights, given the correct wiring to go with it.

Can't help without looking & testing.

A three gang switch IS for controlling 3 lights, each gang can be wired one way or two way. If you have the three switch wires and a feed in the box, you must be connecting it wrongly. You need to loop the feed to each of the (C) common terminals, and connect each of the three switch wires to L2/'one way' depending on the manufacturer.

It all comes down to the switch wires you have at the box the only way to switch all three lights independently is if you have three switch wires and at least one feed.Has there ever been three switches or has one light been added to another?
check the wiring at the switch Identify the live cables and the switch wires if there are three switches then it can be done if not the you may need an electrician to rewire your lights.

Hopefully you can look and see if there are three wires tied together in the box. One wire coming from the switch and going to the other two that are going out of the box. If not I would think somebody wired the two lights together through the light fixtures. In this case you are out of luck unless you can get another wire run. If you could give a discription of how many wires come in, the colors, how many wires in each cable/conduit, and how they are tied together. I could help you out a little better.
