Ask the woman's midwife or ob/gyn. In a healthy pregnancy, some women can have sex right up to the end. But the practitioner providing care knows best for her.

If the provider hasn't said "stop sex," than you're probably okay. They're usually pretty clear when they want that.

You can have intercourse the whole time during pregnancy unless the doctor tells you otherwise...when a woman orgasms, her uterus contracts-pregnant or not. And sometimes, really late in the pregnancy, or even sooner, those contractions might actually trigger real contractions that could/would compromise the baby. That is what happened to me my third and fourth pregnancies. After my husband and I would make love, the doctor recommended that I lie on my left side (the position where the baby gets the most blood flow) about an hour after our deed to get my body to calm down and relax before I get up and start moving around.
And if the mucous plug (the bloody show), has been expelled, you should not have intercourse or baths because bacteria and risk of infection goes up for mom and baby because the plug is not there to protect either of them and mom had already began to dialate.
Remember, having intercourse and orgasms could also help induce contractions to bring on true labor, you only do this if you are going to be overdue, but other than that, our bodies know exactly what to do when, to have the baby.
Good luck, take care, and be safe.

If you are having a pregnancy with no complications you can have intercourse the whole time. It is best to ask your doctor though first just in case.

As long as it is comfortable for her, you can do it until labor starts unless the doctor has told you otherwise. Some women have no problems while others it is uncomfortable very early on in pregnancy.

Reasons for not having intercourse include certain instances of pre-term labor, incompetent cervix (until stitched) and high blood pressure.

depends on the woman and how good health she is in at that time in her pregnancy.to best of my knowledge there is no set "time".you could have intercourse up to the day she delivers.that is....if she feels comfortable in doing it.lol

footnote-sperm breaks down the cervix.so if she has weak cervix Dr. can reccomend no intercourse.
