Yes...that moron lost the veteran vote with that display of "un-patriotism".

Not everyone who served in Vietnam is a patriot, mostly because there was a draft going on and very few were eager to fight; people tend to not want to die in war and its unfair to judge most people on service in Vietnam. Those who did not fight in vietnam are not necessarily lacking in patriotism, infact those who protested Vietnam were huge patriots and helped change this country for the better.
Pins are tacky and they make holes in clothing, infact those republicans love wearing their $5 pins made in China just to remind people that they are infact American, instead of fascist and totalitarian.
Obama represents the spirit of freedom, which is more important than a flag. No flag ever made us free, only patriots do. Not even the Constitution makes us free, it merely states that it is self-evident that Man is free and should be free, government is for defending every American's freedom based upon the consent of the governed, and when the government turns against freedom, which severely happened on Sept 12, 2001, that government should be altered or abolished until a freedom-loving government is put into place.
Bush and the GOP hate freedom, Democrats and Independents love freedom.

What does it make you wonder? Why they don't allow kids to go to war? Why someone would refuse to let a poll, or a reporter bully him into wearing something that he doesn't want to wear? How is that unpatriotic? Do you think a pin is the only thing that shows someone loves the country they live in? Read a book and open your mind. Question the status quo every once in awhile. If you want to show your patriotism, then act like a patriot. Don't act like a robot that has been programmed to think that anyone who disagrees with you is not patriotic.

The depth of analysis and breadth of your criteria in your "question" make me wonder where you have your head stuck?
Lapel pins = small pieces of plastic, with no investment, personal or otherwise. Look at the "lack of service" of the chickenhawks in the current mis-administration. I bet the ones that crow the loudest are wearing pins - but don't have any DD-214's in their pockets.
But, without a doubt, you have raised one of the key talking points for the drones who listen to the drivel from fox and similar noise outlets.
I bet you drug-head, "war herow" rush wears a pin. Probably used one to make sure his "cyst" was properly inflamed when he went in to dodge the draft too.

I see bush and cheney wear lapel pins and they never served in any capacity in the service and certainly not during war time. Did they fool you by wearing the pins into believing they are patriotic?

It's easy to wear a lapel pin or plaster one of those magnetic bumper stickers to a gas-guzzling SUV and call yourself "patriotic." I for one am tired of people deciding who is patriotic based upon superficial things. You can love your country and oppose the war. You can love your country and question the policies of our government. I think that's what people in democracies are supposed to do.

Considering he was far too young to serve in Vietnam your question is moot. He was born August 4, 1961 so when the Viet Nam war was raging he was a small child. He was only 14 when it ended in 1975.

He was a child, he could not serve. For the record, after Sept 11, I bought an entire bag of flag label pins for my office employees to wear if they desired to. Do you want to know where I ordered them from, a democratic store or the Internet. Yes, we believe in our country too!

Quit wondering. Obama was a child. Would you expect your child to serve in Viet Nam? Didn't think so.
Failing to wear a lapel pin is is not a crime. Sending people to a war when you don't have the guts to go yourself (Mr. bush and Mr. cheney, in Viet Nam) should be.

Why he implemented many of the Immigration reform bill's policies by executive order instead of waiting on a congressional vote?
